Products by Measurement: Wobbe Index Calorimeter / BTU
The Wobbe Index (WI) or Wobbe number is an indicator of the interchangeability of fuel gases such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and town gas and is frequently defined in the specifications of gas supply and transport utilities.
The Wobbe Index is used to compare the combustion energy output of different composition fuel gases in an appliance (fire, cooker etc.).
If two fuels have identical Wobbe Indices then for given pressure and valve settings the energy output will also be identical.
Typically variations of up to 5% are allowed as these would not be noticeable to the consumer.
Wobbe Index, BTU Calorimeter by COSA
The New COSA 9610™ is the latest instrument from COSA Xentaur for measuring Wobbe Index, BTU/Heating Value and CARI (Combustion Air Requirement Index).
Model No. COSA 9610
COSA CV PRO Portable Calorific Value Measurement by COSA
COSA Xentaur introduces one of the first commercially available portable Optical Gas Calorimeters. After extensive development work, this instrument proudes the fastest spot check response in the industry; T90=15 seconds for Natural Gas and LPG.
COSA CV-Sonic Pro by COSA
This calorimeter is a fixed gas calorimeter in a flame-proof enclosure (explosion-proof class: Ex dⅡB+H2 T4) designed for continuous, fast-response measurement of the "Calorific value," "Density," and "WOBBE index" of various fuel gases such as natural gas, coke oven gas, blast furnace gas, converter gas, biomass gas, and biogas.
